Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you publish a file to temp.md, we store the file content and associated metadata (content type, size, expiry date). We also store your IP address for abuse prevention. No account is required to publish.

If you create an account to claim a link, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not collect any other personal information.

How we use it

File content is stored solely to serve it at the published URL. We do not read, analyse, or share the contents of files you publish.

Email addresses are used only for authentication. We do not send marketing emails.

Data retention

Unclaimed files are automatically deleted 7 days after the last publish or update, plus a 7-day grace period. Claimed files are retained until the owner deletes them or closes their account.

Third parties

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database) who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication if you are signed in. We do not use tracking or analytics cookies.
